  • Planning the formation of a business – a crucial factor for success » Gastautor

Formation of businesses and corporate succession are two important issues all across Europe. The reasons for this are polito-economic as well as related to labour-market policy. Not only the number of new businesses and business successions is important here, but also their survival in the first years on the market as well as their long-term economic success.

  • The ibw is the new coordinator in the Leonardo da Vinci project “LaBoom” » Gastautor

The EU project “LaBoom” (abbr. Languages for the Book and Media Sector) saw a change in project management at the beginning of this year. On 1 January 2007, the ibw took over the role of the coordinator. The ibw thus follows the Austrian Academy of Book and Media Studies, which withdrew from the project at the end of 2006 due to a lack of personnel. The ibw had already been familiar with the project before, for it had advised the Academy both in foundation and financial matters. In the second year of the project, several products will be designed by a total of twelve project partners under the leadership of the ibw. These products will serve to promote job-related teaching of foreign languages in the book and media business. On the project’s web page http://www.la-boom.net/, information in all six languages of the project can be obtained.
